Requirement
To come up with a music strategy that appealed to a broad shopper profile, was cost effective, provided the capacity to integrate in-store messaging & was operationally manageable.
Solution
SBA worked with Target to come up with a strategy that included a mix of background music with in-store messaging, as well as music video programs (for the AV areas) that key suppliers could contribute to.

Pumpkin Patch
Requirement
To implement a music strategy for all stores that was in keeping with the Pumpkin Patch brand & image whilst being flexible enough to suit individual store hardware situations.
Solution
SBA conducted a series of survey’s & subsequent music trials with Pumpkin Patch stores to ensure their music brief was in line with Pumpkin Patch’s brand & customers.  Special consideration was given to censoring of inappropriate (non-G rated) music.  A split CD / MP3 player solution was implemented across stores depending on where hardware (CD players) was already in place.

Dining & Cafes

Gloria Jeans Coffees
Requirement
To develop a sound unique to Gloria Jeans and that would create an environment for customers to ‘escape the daily grind’.  To ensure that the music delivery was cost-effective, operationally manageable for franchisees and flexible enough to allow for special requirements.
Solution
SBA developed a series of custom music programs (styles) that supported the Gloria Jeans image & customer demographic.  These were programmed by genre & tempo and delivered on an MP3 system, so that the franchisee has the flexibility of letting the system play through, or selecting the appropriate music style & tempo to suit trade times & customer demographics.  The music strategy also allows for flexibility (e.g. to include special themed music or messaging for specific events or promotions).

Requirement
To put in place a music strategy that offered an ‘international’ sound distinct to Nandos, was uniform across all stores, required minimal interaction from store managers and was manageable from a cost perspective.
Solution
SBA worked closely with Nandos marketing department to ensure the music package featured the distinct Latino sound that is trade mark to Nandos.  This was delivered on automated MP3 systems that plugged in to standard hardware.  The system ‘shuffles’ the music so that the songs remain fresh and requires no interaction from store managers.

Jukebox Operators

Automatic Music are jukebox operators located in Tasmania.  Their requirement is primarily music video clips programmed and packaged for use in jukebox sites throughout the region.
Solution
SBA Music offer a range of monthly programs on disc & digital format, produced specifically for jukeboxes.  In particular, the Jukebox Hits (new release & chart) and Jukebox Themes (various artist & classic hits) programs cover a broad selection of popular jukebox songs.
