Digital Jukeboxes

SBA Music are neutral content providers – which means we focus on providing quality music content to the jukebox market - not one specific jukebox type. We’ve been supplying (digital) audio and video content to major jukebox brands since digital technology was first released and our catalogue is growing all the time.
Please see our digital music catalogue for a comprehensive list of our digital content.

Below are some commonly asked questions and answers to help you get a better understanding of how digital supply works.

  1. How does the content get onto the jukebox?
  2. Will SBA content work on my digital jukebox?
  3. What’s the supply process for supported jukeboxes?
  4. How do I order my initial music library for my digital jukebox?
  5. How do I update my digital jukebox with new music?
  6. What are the supply protocols for new jukeboxes?

1. How does the content get onto the jukebox?
Generally, SBA provide an initial library of music (chosen by the customer) which is loaded directly onto the jukebox hard drive, and music updates which are distributed via CD/DVD-rom. All digital music supplied by SBA includes associated ‘thumb nail’ images and track information (which appears when the user is making a selection on the digital jukebox). To satisfy licensing conditions, SBA’s digital content must be supplied in an encrypted format. This ensures that music files are protected, securely delivered to the jukebox they’ve been specified for, and that tracks can not be copied from that jukebox and into any other system.

2. Will SBA content work on my digital jukebox?
In order for SBA to supply content to your digital jukebox, we first need to appreciate whether we currently support your jukebox technology. Some of our supported brands include Sound Leisure, Rowe/AMI & Rhythm House. If you have a digital jukebox that SBA supports, see our supply process for supported jukeboxes. If your digital jukebox is NOT listed OR you are developing a digital jukebox and enquiring about content for it, see our supply protocols for new jukeboxes.

3. What’s the supply process for supported jukeboxes?
If you have a jukebox that is supported by SBA Music, the next stage is to contact us. We will then provide you with a digital music catalogue, an order form and a service agreement.

4. How do I order my initial music library for my digital jukebox?
SBA’s digital music catalogue contains thousands of audio and music video tracks and is broken down into convenient 25 track, style-based packages. Once you have selected the packages you would like, simply complete the order form and service agreement and return to SBA. You will also be asked to supply us with your jukebox hard drive, so that we can securely load the music packages you’ve selected and return this to you.

5. How do I update my digital jukebox with new music?
SBA release digital programs each month that you have the option of either subscribing to as a regular service, or ordering on an ‘as needs’ basis. These include a monthly chart/top 40 music video program (Jukebox Video Hits) and several themed music video programs including Jukebox Video Themes, 100% Hits & Loaded. Music updates are distributed via an encrypted CD/DVD-rom disc that is specifically ‘addressed’ to the jukebox system/s you nominate (each jukebox has a unique serial or ID number to facilitate this).

6. What are the supply protocols for new jukeboxes?
Further to the above overview, additional information will need to be appreciated before we can commence supply to your digital jukebox. To discuss your requirements, please contact Gary Correia on garyc@sbamusic.com.au or (02) 8586 8277.
