It's only been 6 months since Sydney trio Little May popped up in the local music scene, yet they have quickly garnered a strong following. They were triple j Unearthed's Feature Artist Of The Week, and have been praised in a number of Australian and international music blogs.
The trio features Liz Drummond, Hannah Field and Annie Hamilton, who take influence from the likes of Local Natives, First Aid Kit and Fleetwood Mac. Little May produce dark, brooding percussion-driven folk. Their first two singles 'Boardwalks' and 'Hide' have already seen much success, the latter peaking at #2 in the Hype Machine charts as well as the Independent radio charts in Australia. Little May will be releasing their debut self-titled EP later this year.
Winning triple j Unearthed's St. Jerome's Laneway Festival competition, you can catch the trio performing live at the Sydney leg of the festival, as well as this year's Secret Garden Music Festival. Little May were also recently invited to support Norwegian singer Mikhael Paskelev on his Australian tour in March. Big things ahead for Little May!
